In 2002, Mr. Bharat Gangotri took his first steps into the world of politics by working closely with Mr. Sanjay Patil. During this time, he played a key role in supporting and assisting Mr. Patil, gaining insights into the workings of local governance and public service.
In 2003, Mr. Bharat Gangotri took on his first leadership role as Block Adhyaksha of Block 5 under the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), marking a pivotal step in his political career.
In 2007, Mr. Bharat Gangotri contested his first election in Ward 67, where he defeated a long-serving Nagar Sevak. His impressive win earned him the nickname ‘Joint Killer’ from the people.
In a pivotal moment of his career, Mr. Bharat Gangotri ascended to the role of District Working President for the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), solidifying his influence and commitment to the community.
In a historic year when a woman was mandated to hold the Nagar Sevak position, Mr. Bharat Gangotri championed his mother’s candidacy, leading her to a triumphant victory under the Dadiji panel 34.
In 2014, Mr. Bharat Gangotri took on two pivotal roles—State Secretary and NCP Group Leader—solidifying his position as a key leader within the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and demonstrating his ability to manage both strategic and leadership responsibilities.
In 2017, Mr. Bharat Gangotri achieved a remarkable milestone by winning the Nagar Sevak election for the third consecutive term (panel no. 17). Additionally, he served as Ward Chairman of Ward 4 and became a member of the Standing Committee, further reinforcing his commitment to local governance and community development.
In 2020, Mr. Bharat Gangotri took on the influential role of Leader of the House, effectively guiding a dedicated team of 78 corporators and championing their collective efforts for community improvement.
In 2024, Mr. Bharat Gangotri was appointed as the District President of Ulhasnagar, stepping into a vital leadership role to further enhance community welfare and development.

श्री भरत गंगोतरी जी के प्रयासों से हमारी गली की सड़कों में बड़ा बदलाव आया है। पहले हमें गड्ढों और धूल से जूझना पड़ता था, लेकिन अब सफर करना आसान और सुरक्षित हो गया है। गाउन बाज़ार के लोग उनके इस काम के लिए दिल से आभारी हैं।
कोविड के दौरान, श्री भरत गंगोतरी जी ने हर दिन 4,000 लोगों के लिए भोजन की व्यवस्था की। उनकी इस निस्वार्थ सेवा ने कई लोगों को संकट के समय में राहत प्रदान की। उनके प्रयासों ने दिखाया कि जब जरूरत होती है, तो समाज के लिए खड़ा होना कितना महत्वपूर्ण है। हम उनके इस योगदान के लिए आभारी हैं।
